The Salty Past

Do not look back unless you are learning from the situation that you have left behind. Looking back & wishing to go back can put you in a salty situation. Lot & his family were told to leave Sodom & Gomorrah and not to look back, but Lot’s wife was wondering or longing to go back and she ended up as a pile of salt.

Unless you are learning from the past don’t look back, don’t dwell on the past victories, successes or failures. Move forward. Dwelling in the past makes your present salty.  Living in both the good and bad past makes your present salty.

You can’t move forward while looking back. Keep your eyes focused ahead. Because God always goes ahead, He is always before you. God doesn’t dwell in the past. His is in the present, the here and now. So don’t drag your past with you, its a very heavy salty load to carry with you in the present.

The only time we have is now the present. the past is gone and cannot be amended or adjusted. The future is not guaranteed. The only time that’s a guarantee is the present the here and now.

Use your past victories to propel you forward & your past failures as a stepping stone; do not dwell on them.
