THE LOSE OF A GREAT MAN – MAJOR GENERAL OLE NKAISSERY

We have lost a great man, Major General Ole Nkaissery a mighty warrior.
Our condolences & prayers go to the family at this time.
God’s peace, comfort & strength be upon them.

At this time I’m reminded of the following versus,
as a nation that is mourning a great lose
I remember what David a great warrior of old
& others have said.
Some may trust in horses, some may trust in chariots
but we will trust in the name of our God. Ps 20:7

Be warned when you trust in chariots and the horsemen
because they are strong & do not look to the Lord God. Is 31:1

Not by might, not by power but my Spirit says the Lord of hosts. Zec 4:6
I look to the hills where does my help come from. My help comes from
the Lord the maker of heaven and earth Ps 121:1-2
Unless the Lord guards over the city, the watchman stays up in vain Ps 127:1
The Lord allows us to plan but ultimately He is the one who executes.
A man’s heart plans his way,But the LORD directs his steps. Pro 16:9
There are many plans in a man’s heart,Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel
that will stand Pro 19:21

Remember the Lord is sovereign & He reigns over us all.
He has the power to give and to take but He is to be glorified at all times.
Kenya – Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord & in due time
He will lift you up. Casting all your care upon Him,
for He cares for you 1Pet 5:6-7

Prayer:
Lord forgive us for relying on our plans and on our might, guide Kenya at
this time, watch over us and direct our steps. Lord Kenya needs You to show
Yourself and to continue to remind us that You are God the Lord of Hosts..
The Lord our warrior. When faced with a giant situation, like David
said to the Goliath, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear,
and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts,
the God of the armies of Kenya, 1 Sam 17:45. Let us remember to
face our giant situations, with the name of the Lord of Hosts.
Lord be our defender & protector at this time.
As our National Anthem states: Ee Mungu Nguvu yetu
In Jesus Name Amen.

KENYA LITERALLY DYING FROM CORRUPTION

Kenya is a nation currently at war and we are blaming the infamous Alshabab for all the madness and insecurity that we are facing. Like our President and others mentioned at a recent prayer breakfast, we need to reflect on ourselves. We need to take a good look at the man in the mirror like Micheal Jackson said. Corruption has embodied itself, it has evolved and is now literally killing us in the form of Alshabab. We are dying because we are corrupt and have allowed corruption to thrive among us, now we are insecure, afraid wondering why what is happening?

If we do not root out this corruption we are going to die, like a cancer we allowed corruption to become malignant and now it is an over grown cancer that is killing us slow but sure. The medical way of dealing with cancer is very harsh and hard. Many who have gone through it, can tell you its a process, a long painful, tedious & uncertain journey; but many have taken it and have conquered and come through victorious, while others have not.

As a nation we need to get on to the path of recovery and although it is difficult by the grace of God we can make it through. We need to deal with corruption like cancer and root it out. Although its painful its necessary; cancer has a way of recurring if not dealt with properly. We cannot give up or give in we need to stand strong and remove this thing that is killing our loved ones. I strongly believe that if we deal with corruption at all levels, from the lowest to the highest; Alsahab, insecurity and all other issues we are having will fade away.

Our corruptness is not only in government so stop pointing that finger at them; remember when you point one finger at them the other three point back at you. To do business in Kenya its the norm to give facilitation fees, ‘agency comm’, buy lunch, strike a deal etc there’re many names for taking a bribe other than just calling it what it is a bribe. Because of this we are now insecure and afraid; we want to be productive but a goat and a hyena cannot dwell in one house. What can we do, What can I do?

Isa 33:14-15  The sinners in Zion are afraid; Fearfulness has seized the hypocrites:“Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?”He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly,He who despises the gain of oppressions,Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes,Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, And shuts his eyes from seeing evil: (Know that the Lord is a devouring fire)

Kenyan are you ready and willing to weed out this cancer, however uncomfortable and painful it may be?

Our fathers fought colonization we now need to fight corruption,
yes we are at war & as much as Alshabab are involved, we really are
at war with corruption.

Kenyan just know your life and that of the next generation depends
on what you choose to do now.

My cry for Kenya’s – Perversity

The Definition of the word perverse is below. From Dictionary.com
perverse -adjective
1.Willfully determined or disposed to go counter to what is expected or desired;contrary.
2.Characterized by or proceeding from such a determination or disposition:a perverse mood.
3.Wayward or cantankerous. 4.Persistent or obstinate in what is wrong.
5.Turned away from or rejecting what is right, good, or proper; wicked or corrupt.

This is a strong word, but it is for a strong reason.
After our  hearing and watching our honorable leaders
implicated in rape & corruption, the striping of women
such like events in Kenya, on our media & social media.
My heart sinks and cries I’m  at a loss of words.
How, why, what is going on, I don’t know how to respond or react.
I mean really how does one deal with such.

Kenya has generally been known as a peaceful nation with very
hospitable people. Then smack in your face this perversity.
So I ask myself what is going on,why all this madness.
Some say its poverty, others unemployment, and such like things.
First I think Kenyans we imitate without questioning and this is dangerous.
We copy what others are doing, without a second thought if its good for us.
And in so doing, I say we have become a perverse people.
We tolerate and almost celebrate waywardness, what is wrong & corrupt
& this has become a cancer that’s now malignant.
We are wicked, corrupt and reject what is good,
right, proper and in order. We need to change our ways
Our tolerance is good to a certain extent but we cannot tolerate
perversity in whatever form it presents itself.

Then I asked why are we like so? What is causing this
perversity to emanate and emerge?
What we see is just evidence of what we have inside of us.
Is society crying out or reaching out for help?
Where did we go wrong that we have become such?
How do we reroute ourselves and head in the right way?

Being perverted is not just sexual as many may think.
Being perverted is being against what is good,
right, proper and in order. That sums up how we live.

Kenyans we are so against order and what is right
like the plague, hence we carry a curse.

Here is what Solomon tells us about perversity
Pro 11:19-20 – As righteousness leads to life, So he who pursues
evil pursues it to his own death. Those who are of a perverse heart
are an abomination to the LORD.

Pro 14:2 – He who walks in his uprightness fears the LORD,
But he who is perverse in his ways despises God.

So what happens to those who are perverse, what does God do to such?
Deu 32:20 – And He said: I will hide My face from them,I will see what their end will be,
For they are a perverse generation,Children in whom is no faith.
Deu 32:23 – I will heap disasters on them; I will spend My arrows on them.
Deu 32:25 – The sword shall destroy outside; There shall be terror within
For the young man and virgin,The nursing child with the man of gray hairs.

I think we can see all these happening to us as we speak.
We are terrified within, fearful and feeling hopeless.

My answer to all this, the fear of God is what we need.
As Solomon the wisest man who lived says;

Pro 29:25 – The fear of man brings a snare,
But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.

Ecc 12:13- Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God, and keep his commandments:
for this is the whole duty of man.

Oh Lord help us to Change our ways and
Help us to stop idolizing men, politics,
money and material things. Lord help us to
fear your wrath and Holiness.
In Jesus name I pray Amen

SHUT YOUR EARS ‘N’ BUILD YOUR PART

This is not a time for Kenyans to rant and rave
but to build, rebuild & restore.

We are a nation under construction & like the days of Nehemiah,
we have those who don’t want to see us build our wall of
Jerusalem & they will do anything from within & without
to stop the construction of our Nation.

There was one interesting thing that happened at the time when
Nehemiah was rebuilding the wall. The Israelites of that time
decided to build the front of their houses up to where they
could & they did that until they completed the wall.
(Neh 3:1-32)

The lesson for Kenyans is that let us start from
where we are, to build this nation from our homes,
neighbourhoods, and work places.

As the saying goes charity begins at home.
We can start at home and move until where we can.
Imagine if each & everyone of us ensured where we live
was secure & clean. Envision what Kenya would be from
neighborhood to constituency to county to country.

This does not mean that the government of
the day has no part to play. It just means that as Kenyans
we are more involved in the issues that pertain to us,
right where we are. It means we hold the  government
accountable.

Kenyans let us arise & build our nation.
No one else will do this for us only we can.
Don’t allow those trying to distract us to get their way.

Shut your ears to all the unnecessary noise around
you & build your part.
And as our national anthem states:

Natujenge taifa letu
Ee, ndio wajibu wetu
Kenya istahili heshima
Tuungane mikono
Pamoja kazini
Kila siku tuwe na shukrani

BOTTLE NECK TO KENYAN PROGRESS

Kenya is a divine nation, our peace is God given.
We are not the best but God has chosen us to
be His people.

We need to recognize as a nation, that we are blessed.
To count our blessings & at the same time
to adjust to change, Kenyans we are so against
change it’s amazing.

I don’t think our courts have been as busy
the last 20 years as they have the last 2 years.
Amazing, I guess it was the reforms in the judiciary
because one can take anything & anyone to
court these days.

I will call it progress because before, that was not so
but we need to be careful that this does not stop
our progress, in the name of being free to take
any little matter to court & because you
don’t want change, you take it to court &
cause a bottle neck to our progress.

MY PRAYER FOR UHURU & RUTO

My prayer for you His excellency Uhuru & honourable Ruto.

May the almighty God be your light to guide you along this journey. May your friendship grow deep and sweet, better than that of Jonathan & David. May you be friends that sharpen each other, loving each other like brothers. May the good Lord surround you with wise counsel and loving friends. Those who will help you in your times of need and will help you bear your load as you take this journey.

Knowing that this is a road that has never been traveled and that the work ahead is great. May there be springs of cool waters, along the way to refresh you and help you relax along this journey. The load is great, but like the Lord has said, lay your burdens on Him and He will give you rest, for His burden is light and yoke is easy. May your eyes be focused on Him, may your path be made wide and the roads made straight.

As you lead may you always remember, that this is about Him and not you. For it’s not by might or by power that you are there, but it is by His Spirit. May you always remember to be humble before Him. With all this, may He use you as His vessels, to bring this Nation together and to guide this continent. We are one nation under God.  In Jesus name I pray & believe Amen.
