WORDS COME BACK

Words may not be teeth but they,
may come back & bite you.

Words may not be an axe but they,
may come back & chop you.

Words may not be a noose but they,
may come back & hang you.

Words may not be a gun but they,
may come back & shoot you.

Words may not be a spear but they,
may come back & pierce you.

Words may not be ghosts but they,
may come back & haunt you.

Words may not be much but they,
can do much good or harm,
to those who hear, read or speak them.

Choose what you say, so when it
comes back to you, you are safe.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY

Words can be embraced, rephrased or retraced
but words once spoken / released, cannot be erased.

Be careful what you say

Words like time, cannot be retrieved once spoken.
Words like spilled water, cannot be recovered once released.

Be careful what you say

Words can be received or rejected,
but never repeated the same way.

Be careful what you say

Words can bruise or spear,
Words can sooth or cheer.

Be careful what you say

LET MY WORDS

Let my words be encouraging, loving & caring,
Let my words be reconciling, restoring & revealing,
Let my words be soothing & serving,

Let my words be beneficial to you.

Let my words not pierce but bind,
Let my words not tear but mend,
Let my words bless & not curse,

Let my words be beneficial to you.

Let my words build up & not bring down,
Let my words be well meaning & not self pleasing,
Let my words be pleasing & not teasing,

Let my words be beneficial to you.

Let my words be honest but sensitive,
Let my words be kind & warm,
Let my words be gracious & precious,

Let my words be beneficial to you.
