My cry for Kenya’s – Perversity

The Definition of the word perverse is below. From Dictionary.com
perverse -adjective
1.Willfully determined or disposed to go counter to what is expected or desired;contrary.
2.Characterized by or proceeding from such a determination or disposition:a perverse mood.
3.Wayward or cantankerous. 4.Persistent or obstinate in what is wrong.
5.Turned away from or rejecting what is right, good, or proper; wicked or corrupt.

This is a strong word, but it is for a strong reason.
After our  hearing and watching our honorable leaders
implicated in rape & corruption, the striping of women
such like events in Kenya, on our media & social media.
My heart sinks and cries I’m  at a loss of words.
How, why, what is going on, I don’t know how to respond or react.
I mean really how does one deal with such.

Kenya has generally been known as a peaceful nation with very
hospitable people. Then smack in your face this perversity.
So I ask myself what is going on,why all this madness.
Some say its poverty, others unemployment, and such like things.
First I think Kenyans we imitate without questioning and this is dangerous.
We copy what others are doing, without a second thought if its good for us.
And in so doing, I say we have become a perverse people.
We tolerate and almost celebrate waywardness, what is wrong & corrupt
& this has become a cancer that’s now malignant.
We are wicked, corrupt and reject what is good,
right, proper and in order. We need to change our ways
Our tolerance is good to a certain extent but we cannot tolerate
perversity in whatever form it presents itself.

Then I asked why are we like so? What is causing this
perversity to emanate and emerge?
What we see is just evidence of what we have inside of us.
Is society crying out or reaching out for help?
Where did we go wrong that we have become such?
How do we reroute ourselves and head in the right way?

Being perverted is not just sexual as many may think.
Being perverted is being against what is good,
right, proper and in order. That sums up how we live.

Kenyans we are so against order and what is right
like the plague, hence we carry a curse.

Here is what Solomon tells us about perversity
Pro 11:19-20 – As righteousness leads to life, So he who pursues
evil pursues it to his own death. Those who are of a perverse heart
are an abomination to the LORD.

Pro 14:2 – He who walks in his uprightness fears the LORD,
But he who is perverse in his ways despises God.

So what happens to those who are perverse, what does God do to such?
Deu 32:20 – And He said: I will hide My face from them,I will see what their end will be,
For they are a perverse generation,Children in whom is no faith.
Deu 32:23 – I will heap disasters on them; I will spend My arrows on them.
Deu 32:25 – The sword shall destroy outside; There shall be terror within
For the young man and virgin,The nursing child with the man of gray hairs.

I think we can see all these happening to us as we speak.
We are terrified within, fearful and feeling hopeless.

My answer to all this, the fear of God is what we need.
As Solomon the wisest man who lived says;

Pro 29:25 – The fear of man brings a snare,
But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.

Ecc 12:13- Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God, and keep his commandments:
for this is the whole duty of man.

Oh Lord help us to Change our ways and
Help us to stop idolizing men, politics,
money and material things. Lord help us to
fear your wrath and Holiness.
In Jesus name I pray Amen

SHUT YOUR EARS ‘N’ BUILD YOUR PART

This is not a time for Kenyans to rant and rave
but to build, rebuild & restore.

We are a nation under construction & like the days of Nehemiah,
we have those who don’t want to see us build our wall of
Jerusalem & they will do anything from within & without
to stop the construction of our Nation.

There was one interesting thing that happened at the time when
Nehemiah was rebuilding the wall. The Israelites of that time
decided to build the front of their houses up to where they
could & they did that until they completed the wall.
(Neh 3:1-32)

The lesson for Kenyans is that let us start from
where we are, to build this nation from our homes,
neighbourhoods, and work places.

As the saying goes charity begins at home.
We can start at home and move until where we can.
Imagine if each & everyone of us ensured where we live
was secure & clean. Envision what Kenya would be from
neighborhood to constituency to county to country.

This does not mean that the government of
the day has no part to play. It just means that as Kenyans
we are more involved in the issues that pertain to us,
right where we are. It means we hold the  government
accountable.

Kenyans let us arise & build our nation.
No one else will do this for us only we can.
Don’t allow those trying to distract us to get their way.

Shut your ears to all the unnecessary noise around
you & build your part.
And as our national anthem states:

Natujenge taifa letu
Ee, ndio wajibu wetu
Kenya istahili heshima
Tuungane mikono
Pamoja kazini
Kila siku tuwe na shukrani

DAMN IT’S TRUE QUOTES

Don’t spend your life with someone you can live with,
spend your life with someone you cant live without.

When your past, calls don’t answer.
It has nothing new to say.

Never ignore a person who loves & cares for you.
One day you may realize you’ve lost the moon
while counting the stars.

HE HAS THE BEST IN MIND FOR ME

As the year comes to an end we reflect.
Many times we set goals and resolutions
Some we achieve others we don’t.

In 2014 there was this great hit song
“when Jesus says yes nobody can say no”.
Then I asked what happens when Jesus says no?
when I pray and the answer is not what I wanted to hear.
I was just thinking about it. We make our plans, but the
Lord is the one who guides our steps.
Pro 16:9 A man’s heart plans his way,But the LORD directs his steps
Then I thought there are times God says not now, wait,
not that way and No. So what do I do?

Then I thought He has the best
in mind for me, so when I came across a prayer titled
“thank God for unanswered prayers”.
It got me thinking, I started to thank God for the
doors He shut and the paths that He changed,
because I know even when He says No to my prayers,
I know He has the best in mind for me.
Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil,
to give you a future and a hope.

I am thanking God for the doors He shut because
He has the best thoughts in mind for me.
I’m thanking God for changing the route plan that I had,
because He has the best route in mind for me.

As I get into the new year I give Him all my plans,
thoughts, goals, wishes and desires, knowing that
He has the best in mind for me. I get into the new year
knowing that His promises are true.
2 Cor 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes,
and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

May you get into the new year confident in His promises,
Whatever answer He gives I know He has the best in mind for me.
Have a wonderful Christmas and expectant new year.
Eph 3:20-21 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly
above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
to Him be glory in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen

THINK ON THESE

I said to my mind
Do not think of  them,  in a way I would not speak about them.

I said to my mind
Do not think of them, in a way I would be embarrassed to explain.

I said to my mind
Do not think of them, in a manner that’s not pleasing to God.

I said to my mind
Do not hold a grudge, think a curse, or be unforgiving.

I said to my mind, think on these things:

Whatever is true, whatever is honorable,
whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,
whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence,
if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Phil 4:8

DON’T DRIVE ON EMPTY

Certain relationships,
are there  for a given time,
that you may empty yourself
& be a blessing to another.

But ensure that during such
relationships you don’t get to
empty yourself and not refill.

Like a journey, you know how much
fuel goes for a certain distance.
The fuel gauge warning light,
comes on, before you run out of fuel.

In your life journey always plan
the route with frequent fuel & rest
points. Detours from the
hassle & bustle of life.

Watch out for your natural, warning lite
& stop to get a refill & rest.

Don’t drive on an empty tank,
otherwise, you will loose your way
or lengthen your journey.
